Introduction

Welcome to the BarcaWin2000 (B2K) online database. On this
site, water quality and ecological data are available for many different
estuarine and coastal systems throughout the world. This database software
started life in 1985, and is now available on the web.
B2K has been used in research projects, contracts and for educational purposes
in Europe, United States, Asia and Africa. Visitors are welcome to browse the
metadata below, either by using the mapping tool or by reviewing the table
listing the various databases. Clicking on any system will display the
available metadata (a subset only for samples and results).
Licensed users are welcome to logon to B2K, in order to access the full range
of features available. These include:

Listing the full dataset using multicriteria for choosing a subset of dates,
parameters and locations;
- Searching the full dataset for values matching
your search criteria;
- Exporting results to excel spreadsheets for data
treatment;
- Production of time graphs or XY graphs (e.g. nitrogen vs. phosphorus)
